Low Force waterfalls on the River Tees
Low Force Waterfall

Three-week summer courses in 2004 will take place in August and September.

They are residential and with all meals provided either at Norman Richardson house, or in local restaurants . Students who prefer can stay with local families.

Classroom tuition covers grammar, vocabulary and reading, writing, and listening skills.

Creative activities in the afternoon give practice in speaking English.

The educational visit programme enriches the classroom experience with opportunities for practising English in a real life context.

Intensive courses

A view of rural Teesdale

There are six intensive course throughout the year. You may join any course for two or three weeks depending on your schedule.  If you chose two weeks you must begin on the first day of the course.

Classes are timetabled throughout the day covering aspects of General English in the morning with sessions in the afternoon on specialised vocabulary and student electives.

Evening lectures on topics of local and international interest extend note-taking, listening and summary writing skills.

Examination Revision and Booster courses.

They take place twice a year immediately prior to the Cambridge examinations in June and December. These courses are for students who are enrolled for CPE, CAE and FCE at Centres in their own countries who need to quickly improve their English skills before taking the examinations.

They consist of full day tuition with evening lectures . Examination practice with analysis and correction is given.

Private and IETLS Tuition can be arranged throughout the year to suit your personal convenience.
